• I’m back! Blogging 2.0

    Wow, it’s been a long long time since I’ve used this space for anything. It’s not like I haven’t tried; you should see the draft pile of blogs. But I just couldn’t seem to get ideas out and flowing the way I wanted them too. Is blogging even a thing anymore? I don’t even read them anymore. I think Instagram has taken the place of keeping up with people’s lives. But I miss it. I miss clicking on the links to see what my favorite strangers were up to. I thought that when I moved to Nashville that I’d blog about the adventure of it all – and failed miserably…

  • Generation “overshare”

    Social media – I can’t stand it and I almost can’t live without it. It’s tied to everything now and it’s HUGE source for news for people. In a survey conducted in 2016, approximately 50% of 18-49 year-olds get their news online. Now, a lot of times it’s not the most credible news, but the majority of the breaking news will hit there first. At least people are being kept up to date with breaking news (even if it is just headlines). But beyond that, social media has really become a source of sharing your life and sometimes…oversharing.
